Side-Marker Install DC5

Do Not try this if you don't have any patience and/or experience, because this will take you about 2-3hrs per side.

Tools Needed:

  1. String
  2. See through tape
  3. Side Marker Template (Contact us and we will email it to you)
  4. Dremel with cutting disk
  5. Wire cutters and (2) clips to splice into

Step #1

Get yourself a "Dremel" if you don't have one. (This will make your job alot easier)

Step #2

Run the string along the accent line that goes through the car. Then when you get it just right, tape it and then place the template under the string.

Step #3

Now you will use the "Dremel" to cut out your hole for the side-marker, but before you do that make sure that you put tape on the paint side of the car and also over the template to make sure that you don't scratch or chip any paint. Start with 15,000 rpm to start the line cut out and then go to 35,000 rpm. (These speeds may vary from different "Dremel's" some may say "low" or "high")

Step #4

This is what it should look like after you finish cutting out the hole. Check for fitment, if its small then just lightly grind out the opening and check it for fitment untill it's good. ( I made mine a little tighter, and make sure to paint the edges of the cut out with primer and the paint.)

Step #5

The side marker is in, and now for the wiring. You will have to remove the wheel and then plastic cover under the fender. (Pics were not taken at that time, but I connected it to my "turn signal" only)

Hopefully this will help someone that wants to do this project. If you have any questions or want to see bigger pics email me at TRPer4mance@aol.com
